The Villa Itself
The Living, Dining and Entertainment Area:
The TV
- The big screen TV can be turned on either by touching the glowing hole at the bottom of the TV, or via the TV remote control.
- The ‘input’ button on the remote allows you to select which device you wish to view:
- TV for Cable TV
- AV1 for DVD
- AV2 for the Wii
- Note that sometimes the satellite is intermittent in Bali, so please be patient if the signal suddenly goes off – it will come back!
Entertainment System
- Turn on via the red power button on the front
- Buttons on the top for:
- Function:
- DVD/CD
- Radio
- OSD iPod
- iPod (for the docking station on top)
- USB (for other devices – open the front cover)
- Eject CD/DVD
- XBASS for xtra bass
- USB Rec:
- Buttons on the front for:
- Play/Pause
- Stop
- FFWD
- RWD
- Volume (works on the inside of the circle, much like an iPod)
- Use the separate remote control from the TV remote for full functions
- To play a DVD, turn on the TV, change input to AV1, turn on the DVD player, choose function DVD/CD, and then insert the disc in the top, and press play
- There are many DVD’s
- VCD’s and CD’s in the draws
The Wii
- Turn on via the red power button on the front
- Set TV input to AV2
- Insert game disk
- Once started up, use the ‘cracked’ Wii main menu, bottom left called ‘Gamma 002 Fix Press’ not the normal main menu
- Ensure infra red receiver is on the top of the TV, its 20cm long, 1cm high and has red/black plastic windows on each end. Otherwise it wont read the controllers
- Some Wii games use the controller, some need the ‘num chuk’ attached to the controller, and some need the ‘Wii Fit’ board
- You can add your own ‘Mii’ character on the main menu ‘Mii Channel’ if you like your own profile
Books, Magazines and Bali Reference information
- Plenty to choose from here – but if you take one, please leave one
- Please don’t take the reference material – please collect your own!
Internet/Wireless
All the villas have broadband internet from Telkom ‘ Speedy’. The speed is up to 1Mbps.
The internet connection is free of charge. It will automatically connect your laptop to the internet once you connect to the network by plug-in cable or wireless connection.
If your laptop doesn’t connect to the internet please check this following instructions:
1. Make sure your laptop is connected to the ‘Villa Rama’ Internet or wireless
2. Make sure that TCP/IP is set to automatically obtain IP address.
3. If needed, turn off your windows firewall.
4. Restart your laptop.

Store Room
Is for Villa Staff – please do not use this for personal use
Powder Room
Fire Estinguisher
- There is a large one in the living room, and another small one in the kitchen
Lights and Fans
- Switches are located near the powder room – please switch off when not in use, as power is a rare commodity in Bali, and we experience the occasional black out
Dinner Table and Coffee Table
- Are solid teak – but please do use drink mats provided, and place mats for hot dishes and plates on the dining table
